  • Short bone: have squat shapes such as bones of wrist and ankles.
  • Flat bone: have flattened, board surface such as ribs, shoulder skull bones.
  • Irregular bone: It does not define the above three shapes such as spine bones (vertebrae).
Without bones, you can not move, sit or even stand. The giant human bone has been found about 3.50m ( 11 ft 6 inch) tall. Tendons serve to move the bone or structure. The ligament that attaches bone to bone hold all body structure and keeps it stable.


Functions Of Bones In The Body:

Bones and muscles in the body work together to provide support, protect organs, help you to move. They provide an area and environment for bone marrow where blood cells formed, act as a storage for minerals specially calcium. 


You can stand up straight from the top of the skull to the tips of phalanges at the end of your toes. Organs in the skeleton system are under the control sheath of bones. The irregular bone function is also to protect various parts of your body e.g: vertebrae protect your spinal cord. 

The functions of the skeleton system include make body shape, make blood cells, store minerals such as a structure with muscles called the musculoskeletal system.

The bone location is in the appendicular skeleton include bones in the lower limbs as the tibia, fibula, femur, metatarsals, phalanges, and in the upper limbs as the humerus, radius, ulna, metacarpals, phalanges.
